--Une quinte floche consiste de 5 cartes en ordre numérique, toutes de la même couleur. La quinte floche la plus forte gagne. As-Roi-Reine-Valet-10 est la quinte floche la plus forte et s’appelle la quinte royale. 5-4-3-2-As est la quinte floche la moins forte.
--Le carré le plus fort gagne. Si deux joueurs ont le même carré, celui qui a la plus forte cinquième carte gagne.
--Un full consiste d’un brelan et d’une paire. Celui qui a le brelan le plus fort gagne. Si deux joueurs ont le même brelan, celui qui a la paire la plus forte gagne.
--Une couleur consiste de cinq cartes de la même couleur. La couleur qui a la carte la plus forte gagne. Si deux couleurs ont la même carte forte, la couleur qui a la deuxième carte forte gagne.
--Une quinte consiste de cinq cartes en ordre numérique. La quinte qui a la carte la plus forte gagne. As-Roi-Reine-Valet-10 est la quinte la plus forte ; 5-4-3-2-As est la moins forte
--Le brelan le plus fort gagne. Si deux joueurs ont le même brelan, les deux autres cartes déterminent le vainqueur.
--Celui qui a la paire la plus forte gagne. Si les paires fortes sont identiques, l’autre paire détermine le gagnant. Si cette paire est aussi identique, la dernière carte détermine le gagnant.
--Celui qui a la paire la plus forte gagne. Si les paires sont identiques, les autres cartes interviennent : d’abord on compare les cartes inégales les plus fortes, ensuite les secondes cartes moins fortes, et enfin les cartes les plus faibles.
--Si une main ne rentre dans aucune des catégories ci-dessus, elle est jugée selon les cartes fortes. Deux mains sont comparées en utilisant les cartes fortes. Si elles sont identiques, on compare les secondes cartes les plus fortes et ainsi de suite

At the end, both players hold the two pair hand 9s 9h 7d 7c, with a jack kicker. Neither player can produce a higher kicker from his hand; neither player's pocket pair can result in a higher five-card hand than what is on the board.
These are the winning high hands in high only and high-low split games, from highest to lowest. Any hand in one category in the list beats any hand in any category below it. For example, any straight flush beats any four of a kind; any flush beats any straight.
royal flush: Five cards in sequence with all five cards of the same suit. The highest straight flush, having an ace as its high card, has a special name, royal flush.


Any lesser straight flush does not have a unique name.

full house: Three cards of one rank plus two cards of another rank.


In a showdown among players holding full houses, the hand with the highest three of a kind wins. 7h 7s 7d 3h 3s beats 6s 6c 6h Ad Ah. If multiple hands each contain the same full house (which could occur in a community card game), the hand with the highest pair wins. Kd Kh Ks As Ac beats Kd Kh Ks Qh Qd.
flush: Five cards of the same suit.


In a showdown among players holding flushes, the hand topped with the highest one or more cards wins. When the top card is tied, the next card is compared; when the top two cards are tied, the third card is compared; and so on.
